Process

• Help us understand your needs. From diagnosing a faulty sensor through to a complete instrumentation system built from scratch, we adapt to your scope.
• Come onboard as a client. We have a simple, plain English service agreement that we can fill out together, or you can propose your own.
• Development starts. We work in short cycles, iterating in an organic but disciplined manner. You're free to extend, redirect or stop us whenever you need to.
  • Work with us to specify an objective. Characterise a sensor, prove out a signal chain, bring up a new board. Your brief sets the first objective; the results of each cycle set the next.
  • We design, build, test and measure. Rapid prototyping surfaces problems while they're still cheap to solve, and documentation is written as we go rather than reconstructed at the end.
  • Review the results. We share everything — test data, drawings, a working demonstration or an honest account of what didn't work and what we learned from it.
• Your instrumentation problems are solved. Everything produced under the contract is yours. Documentation, models, drawings, designs, results and code all belong to you, as do the prototypes and installed systems themselves.

Pricing

We believe in fair, transparent pricing for custom engineering. Because our work ranges from high-level conceptual design to hands-on testing and assembly, our services are billed at hourly rates based on our engineers' experience and seniority. This allows us to pair the right minds with the right challenges, keeping your project moving forward smoothly and within budget.
